StoopingMap helps people find and share free, usable furniture and household items left on the street.
Perfectly usable furniture are discarded every day. The goal is to make local reuse easier, reduce waste, and keep good items out of the trash.

It all started as a small Instagram page for De Pijp and gradually grew into a bigger project.
It quickly became clear that Instagram wasn’t the best platform for sharing items locations.
So I created a simple website with a map where I could upload photos, automatically adding them to their locations on the map, then reposting them on Instagram.
An interactive map showing where items are available.
Tens of items are being posted to the map every day.
There is a website and iPhone app for easy posting.
StoopingMap is completely free, without advertising and without paid features.
It is run by a single person.
Keeping it running and improving involves ongoing costs (maps, tools) and development and maintenance time.
Support helps cover these costs and makes it possible to keep the project free and focused on reuse rather than monetization.
With your support I'm able to work on new features and improvements, such as:
Is this a company?
No. StoopingMap is a solo project run by a single person
Where does support money go?
Lincences (Stadiamaps, Apple dev account, Andriod dev account), development tools (OpenAI, Zapier, Manychat, RocketSim), and time spent maintaining and improving the project.
Why not ads?
No one likes ads. The goal is to keep the project nice and simple.
Can I help in other ways?
Yes! Subscribing, posting items, giving feedback, reporting issues, or sharing the project with your friends helps a lot.
